Hamilton Black Film Festival – Where Culture Meets Community
The Hamilton Black Film Festival (HBFF) is a vibrant annual celebration dedicated to showcasing Black stories, voices, and talents. Rooted in Hamilton’s cultural heartbeat, HBFF amplifies underrepresented narratives through film, creating space for meaningful dialogue, connection, and inspiration.
Our mission is to support local and international Black filmmakers, encourage youth engagement through mentorship and workshops, and foster economic growth by partnering with local businesses and community organizations. We believe in the power of storytelling to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and unite people across cultures.
More than a festival, HBFF is a movement — integrating with schools, community centers, and grassroots networks to make the arts accessible to all. By honoring cultural heritage while embracing innovation, we create an inclusive platform where creativity thrives, representation matters, and the community shines together.
